The 'newer' cemetery has regular care and is in good shape. This cemetery is located within one mile, to the north, of the city of Rosemount. The first burials appear to have taken place in the mid 1940's. 

The Dakota county cemetery records compilation list this cemetery as: St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Incorporated 1 February 1940. 2 parcels. 1st: S 1/2 of SE 1/4, Section 20, Township 115, Range 19. Line west of Minnesota Highway 3. 2nd: Part of S 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 20 (3/4 acre). Lying North and East of Dodd Road.

This Cemetery was transcribed in 1996.
