This small family cemetery no longer has any regular care and has become overgrown with trees, lilacs, and weeds. The cemetery is land locked in the southeast corner of a farm field which is located about one quarter of a mile east of Michael Avenue. I was told that this cemetery may have been started because one of the original burials was for a person who died from a quarantinable disease and they were not allowed to be buried in the local cemeteries.

The Dakota county cemetery compilation lists this cemetery as: Marsh Burying Ground. Established about 1860. Michael Marsh Family. 2 acres. Approximately 11 graves. Located NW 1/4 of Section 26. Michael Avenue. Cemetery land locked on Irene Carroll property. (Abandoned).

This cemeteries burial monuments were transcribed during May of 2000.
