The following cemetery list is from 'Vol. One – Wadena County History and News plus Huntersville Twp. Area events 100 years more or less of Pioneer Struggles and Progress', page 18.  The list appears to have been created by Arnold Miller and a few others.  The list is titled Abandoned Pioneer Cemetery.

At the bottom of the list it states “… This cemetery situated upon ridge along pioneer trail following high ground, but later when section boundaries was surveyed that trail traffic quit, so cemetery fell to less burial usage after 1900.  Hilma (Jacobson) Peterson, 90, remembers how the Knisley family with big sons bought through Anderson NW 1/4, D-34 to farm.  Knisleys seemed to hate Finns to the extent of destroying markers off old graves, claiming cemetery to be part of their pasture property.  Arguments fell on deaf ears so local Finns then protested thru township board, Mr. Danielson, others, took problem to court of law, Detroit Lakes.  Original list – 50 names lost – last seen in 1938 when Rbg. Ch. Built.”
