Halsted / Halstead Brothers Cemetery

This landlocked cemetery is located along the western shoreline of the upper lake portion of Lake Minnetonka on a piece of land that was once part of a well known lake stop called the Hermitage.  The Hermitage existed from the 1850’s until it burned down on September 6, 1901.  This location is not marked as a cemetery. 

The two gentlemen buried in this location were the sons of Oliver Spencer Halsted and his wife Mary Clark Hetfield.  They were a prominent family in New Jersey.

George Blight Halstead   17 March 1820 – 6 September 1901
